Pinewood Derby

This is Taylor's first year in scouts and he's having a really good time.

Last week was his Pinewood Derby.  He had fun with dad making his car and deciding how it would look.  

They worked on it right up till it was time to head down to the race.

His car was a little light but Taylor didn't want to re-modify at the last minute so he raced it as it was.

He lost every race but it didn't bother him any.  He had a good time anyhow, which made his mom very proud.  

He ended up winning the HONORABLE SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD and then the FASTEST "LOOKING" CAR award!  (o:

Joey's 6th Birthday

Can't believe he's getting so big so fast!

We had a party a few days before his birthday at the park for all his little friends where they had doughnuts.  

Then we had a party on his birthday for family.

Adventures in Burley.

We went to Burley, Idaho this weekend to visit our best friends (and cousins), who just moved there. It took about 3 hours to get there from home.  

We played cards, had Stevo's Famous Fries for dinner, was shown around the town, went swimming, the kids played and we just enjoyed each others company.

Easter in California

We went to California this year for Easter to spend some time with Robert's family.  We stayed in Red Bluff & Anderson (at the Shiloh Inn).  (o:  hehe...

What we did:

• Spent time with family at the reunion.
  

• Got to see great grandma Anna.
  

• Hunted Easter Eggs.
  

• Went to the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield.
  

• Turtle Bay.

• Spent more time with family & played cards. 
  

• And went shopping at the Gap!  (o: 
  

On our way home, we made a stop in Madras, Oregon to stay the night with Candy's uncle who shares her birthday (which was the night we stayed there).  They boys had fun playing pool and making lovely music on the drum set.   

We had birthday cake with some of Candy's cousins that live there and afterwards they played us some live music.

A week later, we finally made it back home.  There is no place like home!!
